About Evergreen

Evergreen Working Capital is an accounts receivable factoring company that specializes in funding the growth of businesses nationwide. Our expertise comes from years of experience in providing effective funding solutions to business owners through the commercial lending, asset based lending, banking, and factoring industries.

We have streamlined the age-old process of buying invoices and advancing earned revenue (also known as “factoring”) to optimize cash flow. Our clients use this immediate cash to support steady growth and to take advantage of game changing sales opportunities without amassing more debt or raising equity.

We believe that factoring is not limited by industry type, and can help many industries including: oilfield services, manufacturing, commercial/industrial service and supply, specialized transport, temporary labor staffing, and marine transportation. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Evergreen services businesses across the country.

Louis K. Greenblatt

Louis K. Greenblatt
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I’ve always had a desire to operate my own company. My dad, a general contractor, and my grandfather, an owner of multiple grocery stores, both gave me an interest in business. Although their work differed in many respects, the one thing they both shared was the financial challenges of expansion.

Motivated to understand business financing and its challenges, I pursued a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University. After graduating in 1985, I spent the next 12 years in commercial banking with a focus on asset-based lending. While this experience taught me volumes about business and finance, I ultimately became disenchanted with the highly competitive banking market. I didn’t feel I could make enough of a difference to business owners who were already financially successful, and bank policies guided me away from businesses who really needed help.

I discovered that my greatest passion was helping business owners who couldn’t qualify for bank financing. Once I learned about the option of invoice factoring, I was hooked. I retired from banking in 1997 to start a factoring company and never looked back. I am excited to go to work each day and help business owners achieve their dreams of growing their companies.

After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Nicholls State University, I pursued my MBA at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. I felt drawn towards the financial industry after years of observing my father as a commercial banker, and my interest in the financial field deepened throughout graduate school. While completing the program, I worked part time as a credit analyst for a Nontraditional Lender (BIDCO) that made SBA loans to businesses.

After I received my MBA in 1999, I further pursued my career in the commercial lending industry where I worked for BizCapital BIDCO and Union Planters Bank, loaning money to businesses utilizing the SBA and USDA government guaranteed loan programs. In 2002, I was hired by Fidelity Bank, a bank that had recently purchased Louis Greenblatt’s Factoring Company, BrooksGreenblatt. There, I began my factoring career.

In 2005 after Hurricane Katrina, many oilfield service customers in our factoring portfolio that could not obtain traditional bank financing experienced accelerated revenue growth. Witnessing those customers grow, stabilize, and transition to traditional bank lines of credit inspired me to stay in the Factoring industry. I have thoroughly enjoyed funding the needs of our customers daily and maintaining the relationships I have built with banks and bankers for the last 16 years. I am a past President of the Acadiana Area Risk Management Association and am the current President of the MidSouth RMA 4 state region. I have been a Partner with Evergreen Working Capital since 2008.
